Strategic Expansion: The IMOGENT Acquisition
Our acquisition of IMOGENT marks a pivotal evolution in Backbone's journey. While we've always been at the forefront of visual production and operational excellence through our SaaS platform, this merger puts us into a new league. We're now a comprehensive real estate marketing ecosystem, offering various additions from legal documents to energy certificates - all seamlessly integrated. This expansion empowers real estate professionals to not just streamline their visual content, but to optimize their entire marketing and sales process through a single, powerful platform.
With the acquisition, our clients can now explore a range of new products—currently available exclusively in Germany, with potential for expansion into other territories in the future.

Digital power of attorney for you to retrieve official mandatory documents for real estate transactions with different legal entities.
• On-site area report
Precise on-site measurements in accordance with applicable standards and regulations - an important addition to your bank records.
• Living area calculation
Using your building plans, we create a detailed, current floor plan with all necessary specifications - fully compliant with WoFlV standards.
• Energy certificate
Consumption and demand certificates can now be easily ordered online.
Besides adding a vast number of new products to our portfolio, we were also able to welcome team members from IMOGENT into our team, bringing with them a wealth of industry knowledge.

Purchase flow redesign
The design of the order process hadn’t changed since we launched our platform. It was time for us to make it look better but also smarter. This was the first brick to enhance the user experience in several order processes.
Floorplan customization
Since August 2024, you can define your vision from the start by choosing colors, furniture, fixtures, and room names.To ensure the end result is perfect, our flexible editing tool allows you to make final tweaks on your own. And here’s the best part: We’ve made this all more affordable with a significant price drop!
Staging made easier
Deciding details for staging isn’t intuitive to everyone. We decided to make it easier thanks to visual cues. This way users feel guided and empowered to make the best choices. For those who aren’t into creativity, we launched the “Let Backbone decide” option. In just one click the user gives us the freedom to choose the most fitting design for the property. No more time wasted over thinking of a visual that can become outstanding - we are here to simplify your staging process.
Speeding resolution in-platform
In a world where technology is at our service, solving simple problems doesn’t need to be done by humans anymore.We launched our first chat bot: Becka. Your digital assistant came to life in June to make it easier for you to cancel appointments, reschedule, request a callback from our support team or even simply to ask an enquiry without creating another email thread. If you haven’t tried it yet, be ready to streamline your day and get more focused.
